Furay: Additional Buffalo Springfield shows pushed back

"For those of you getting excited about the Buffalo Springfield fall tour -- word has just come to me that it has been moved to the first of next year," guitarist Richie Furay said in a Facebook post.

The band's surviving original members -- Furay, Neil Young and Stephen Stills -- initially reunited the band in October 2010 for two nights at Young's Bridge School Benefit concerts in Mountain View, CA. It was the first time the group had performed together publicly in more than 40 years.

The band reunited again in June for six California shows, followed by an appearance at Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN.

Word of a fall tour surfaced earlier this month, when Furay said in a blog post that the band was planning a full tour starting in September.

Apparently Stills had expressed some concern about mounting a 30-date tour. "They better have a break in there," Stills told Rolling Stone before the band's Bonnaroo set. "If we had this much trouble with six, I can't imagine 30."

Furay gave no official reason for the postponement. "I'm not going to spend a lot of time here with details as you speculate among yourselves," Furay wrote on his Facebook page. "There's nothing to speculate about, the tour has simply been moved."

Buffalo Springfield formed in 1966 and broke up less than three years later. Although Stills and Young went on to make major impacts with their post-Springfield projects, the band is still considered by critics to be one of the most influential acts of the 1960s.

Ok things are back to busy…just they way I like them lol.  Recently I went back and learned a few Neil Young songs which I will post at some point.  For now I’m thinking “Cinnamon Girl” and “Needle and the Damage Done” (After I get new string on my Martin…they are dead). 

I also got a request from a long time fan for a lesson on a Demi Lovato song called “dynamite” or something like that.  It’s kinda cool…riff, power chords, riff, fuzz, riff…and figured it was a good opportunity to round out my demographics. 

I have another request for “I want you back” by the Jackson Five.  So yea, I need to learn that…  Also I want to do a cover of the “Lazy Song” by Bruno Mars.  So yea…lots of covers in the works.
